Striker Papiss Cisse is out Newcastle's Europa League clash with Maritimo on Thursday night.

The Senegal international has been withdrawn from the squad because of illness and his place has been taken by 17-year-old Adam Campbell.

Cisse's strike-partner Demba Ba was also missing from the party which flew out from Tyneside, a day after his agent suggested he does not understand his current role at the club.

However, midfielder Sammy Ameobi was on the plane after confirming his return to fitness by playing in the Under-21s' 2-2 midweek derby draw with Sunderland.
