Huddersfield prop Eorl Crabtree will miss England's autumn internationals against Wales and France after being told he needs to undergo shoulder and elbow surgery.

Scrum-half Danny Brough, Crabtree's Giants team-mate, is also a doubt as he awaits the outcome of a scan to assess the full extent of a groin tear he sustained during his side's 46-10 play-off defeat at Hull on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Huddersfield winger Jermaine McGillvary is to undergo ankle surgery which will rule him out of the England Knights' Alitalia Cup campaign.
