THIS is in reference to your article on Mr Colin Shutler's mobile home, sited at his father's farm (Forest Journal, December 29).
First, I wonder where the councillors and the High Court judge live?
No doubt if they had a disabled father, they would put him in a nursing home.
These are your old-fashioned, working class, salt-of-the-earth people. Colin's mother is trying to keep her wedding vows, in sickness and in health, for better or worse, and her son is honouring his father and his mother so unusual today.
They have the wrong name and very low-status work, so how could they hope to win in 2006, where we live in an I'm alright Jack'society.
Surely this mobile could stay for his father's lifetime? When I see four-and five-bedroom monstrosities being built on Frogham hill, I wonder.
ENID JUKES, Stuckton
