Think before you let off random fireworks
11:17am Thursday 1st November 2012 in Salisbury Letters
COULD someone please tell me why there is the need to start using fireworks as soon as they become available to buy?
Do people not have any understanding and consideration for young children and animals?
Young children can become very frightened by fireworks, especially if they are being woken by them every other night.
I have a young dog who becomes very scared as soon as they start and it can be difficult to calm him.
If there was a law put into place that fireworks can only be used on Bonfire Night and New Year’s Eve then at least people with young children and animals could prepare.
Or the extreme could be to outlaw the sale of fireworks all together so they can only be used in official firework shows.
So I’m asking all those people out there who think it’s a good idea to set off a few random fireworks to think long and hard before you do because there are children and animals who are badly effected by the noise. You are the ones responsible.
