Admin work is not for officers

IF I remember correctly the turnout for the election of police commissioner was very small.
I was one of those who didn’t vote, mainly because I did not believe in the commissioners system and because I could not see how anyone outside the force could possibly understand its requirements.
We are told by every government that are voted in that there will be more frontline police.
But with support staff being made redundant, police will be too busy typing up their own reports.
I fear this will lead to criminals going free because of mistakes made by police whose job is fighting crime not typing reports.
Also we might have response cars being stationed at Amesbury and prisoners being transported all over the county.
Thank goodness the force has so many PCSOs, otherwise we would ever see any police in uniform.
