Hunt for the history of artwork
THIS is a picture purchased by Joan Maltby, a specialist and former lecturer in the history of art, through Woolley and Wallace back in 1981.
I have inherited it and am trying to find out more about the history and background of the picture. It has a simple wooden frame some 39in x 20in (98cm x 50cm) in size.
In the past, many people in the Salisbury area must have seen it hung in a local house or school. If anybody knows anything about the picture, I can be contacted through the Journal newsdesk.
