FURTHER to my letter published in the Journal last week in regard to the cost of entry to the cew Stonehenge Visitor Centre, I now have an apology to make. It seems as a local resident, you can still get in free.

I cannot understand how we were not informed of this by Wiltshire Council or English Heritage. The local population has grown some in such a short time too.

You can indeed apply to their main library department for a free pass for entry into the new Stonehenge Visitor Centre.

You will need a document with your photograph on it such as a passport, bus pass or other official document. From January 2014, you will have to call ahead to make an appointment for entry. Note you have to renew this each year.
