IT seems to me that the city of Salisbury has become a cash cow for the Wiltshire unitary authority.

Or at least that is what it looks like following the published list of parking fees (Journal, December 26).

And the report showing how The Royal British Legion Club in Endless Street (Journal, December 26) has been affected by newly installed bus shelters shows an almost complete lack of thought by our Trowbridge planners and councillors.

Safe access to and exit from clubs and pubs in our city should be a priority for all users, irrespective of age or infirmity. Suggesting to the old and infirm that they can park in the Salt Lane car park is insulting.

If our councillors had been awake and stopped the bus station sell off, new bus stops may not have been required.
