Bus shelter is doing nothing

First published in Salisbury Letters

REGARDING exposed bus stops in Amesbury, why can’t the new, unused bus shelter be moved from outside Camelot nursing home on the A345.

It replaced a smashed one, but no buses go past there anyway, not since the number 5 Marlborough bus had its route changed.

My daughter, after a 12-hour night shift has to wait in wind and rain to get a bus to Boscombe Down. She is unable to walk up the hill due to a disability.

She used to get the bus to Camelot at night, but when the route changed, had to walk from the bus station.

Would Wiltshire councillors like to work all night and then stand in a lay-by waiting for a bus? I think not.
