FOLLOWING on from the article in the Journal on March 27 ‘MP joins protest over army homes’, I think the problem is not just homes but social services generally.
I assume Salisbury District Hospital will have to cater for the increased patient numbers arriving in the Salisbury Plain area.
As this hospital is already under pressure due to government cutbacks in funding, one can only assume waiting times for consultations and operations will dramatically increase.
And what about the rest of the infrastructure?
Will we have new schools to cater for the new families?
The obvious solution would appear to be a completely new town, funded by the MoD, with its own hospital, schools, library etc, to be totally selfcontained, built on the existing Imber site.
