Market traders need somewhere to park

First published in Salisbury Letters

COACHES parked in Brown Street, buses parked all over Salisbury, Stanhope redeveloping the Maltings, the proposed building of a supermarket on flood plains, losing the police station without having a replacement custody suite available in Salisbury, plans to merge Wiltshire and Dorset fire brigades.

During all this chaos no one has mentioned the vehicles of the market traders.

Where are they going?

They can obviously not be allowed to park in the Market Place.

Does anyone at Wiltshire Council ever think a plan through properly or are they deliberately trying to destroy any chance Salisbury has of a tourist industry?
