MICHAEL Gove was at the Chalke Valley History Festival.
He and the head of Ofsted Sir Michael Wilshaw have suggested that there isn't enough competitive sport in schools.
What a shame they weren't at Salisbury’s Five Rivers Leisure Centre on Wednesday evening.
Had they been there they would have seen a very high level of athletic competition from pupils representing more than 30 local schools.
Enthusiasm and endeavour were on show throughout the evening.
Congratulations should go to all the competitors, the teachers and especially the organising team of staff and pupils from Leehurst Swan School.
