NNIE Riddle is usually complaining about decisions affecting us in the south of the county being made “remotely” in Trowbridge.

However, in a sudden about-turn, she now complains that decisions about youth services are to be made locally by our area boards.

She can’t have it both ways.

Does she support local decision-making or not? If so, why can’t she bring herself to applaud Wiltshire Council’s brave move to devolve decisions on youth activities – and accompanying budgets – to locally-elected councillors?
