FURTHER to the letters on the subject of the bombardment of Gaza, I think what is so appalling is the lack of humanity from people who refuse to condemn the deliberate slaughter of women and children in Gaza with the deliberate targeting of schools, power plants and hospitals.

The people of Gaza are stuck in Gaza, unable to escape to the north, south, east or west and the country has become a gigantic prison camp collapsing before our eyes.

Anyone with a degree in history will recall what happened to the Jewish state at the time of the Roman Empire – the Emperor Titus razed Jerusalem to the ground and carried off the Jewish Temple to Rome as an exhibit.

The modern Israeli state could do with some history revision if it wants to remain part of the international community.
