I have had to pay many visits to Salisbury District Hospital over the summer months and have found the nursing staff to be quite wonderful in their dedication to their work which they carry out so cheerfully, some of them doing 14-hour shifts.

I was shocked to hear they have to pay to park their cars and that there are not enough spaces for all the nurses on duty so they have to park on a yellow line and pay the consequent fines.

Surely these nurses, who dedicate themselves to the service of others, deserve better treatment?
