EVERY time the St Paul’s subway gets repainted white it's graffitied again within a few days.
It's not so much the fact that some of my council tax is having to be spent to repeatedly paint over it, but rather the nature of the graffiti that irritates me. There's no creativity or style, just black scribbles and tags.
Maybe the council could divide the walls into 8ft x 8ft sections and invite local artists, students and children to paint their interpretation of local views, or a different theme for each underpass?
The Milford Street bridge has not to my knowledge been graffitied since Fred Fieber painted his murals.
