I WOULD like to ask Jane Scott, through your paper, as she won't answer any questions I have emailed her regarding the proposed changes to garden waste collection.
She gave us, the people of Salisbury, a deal when we were given our green bins for garden waste, that this would be a FREE service and that it would be a 50-week collection, with two weeks off for Christmas.
It was a sweetener when we moved to fortnightly household waste collections. If we will only get a nine-month service or are made to pay for it, is she going to put us back on a weekly refuse collection or is it just another money making idea she has?
I can understand each council has to make cuts, so why doesn't she look at the people at the top and try and cut their wages down instead?
