TODAY I needed to pop to the cashpoint to get some money out.
Now being disabled with a young baby 'popping' anywhere is incredibly difficult.
However, when I tried to park in the disabled bays opposite the cinema I discovered that the majority of the bays had been taken by work vans. At what point did these workmen think this was acceptable?
They were not just unloading items but working on the local empty shops.
These spaces are the most suitable for me as they are the safest for loading and unloading my baby (something which can take a while) and they are pretty central so I can minimize the amount of walking I have to do. A lot of the new disabled bays are on the road and it is quite dangerous.
I did ring the council when I got home and they said they would send someone round but seeing these workmen not giving a damn made me really angry.
Thank you for making my day (and those of other disabled visitors to Salisbury) just that little bit harder.
