I WAS extremely disappointed (probably along with many others) that you did not publish the letter I (or others) sent you last week regarding the parking issues in Salisbury.
It would appear (as seen so often before) that the Salisbury Journal is now just a mouthpiece for the council. This week you saw fit to publish three long letters from three different councillors espousing party political views – which SHOULD have been printed on a special councillors’ page or article about this – NOT Postbag.
Postbag should be for the public to express their views. How do I or anyone else air their views which thousands agree with?
Because of your complicity, I will never, ever purchase another copy of your newspaper (after 30 years) as I feel you are contributing to the slow death of Salisbury. Disgraceful.
Goodbye and goodnight.

PS: As I walk out my front door to hand deliver this letter, the central car park is jammed with cars everywhere – Castle Street, Millstream slip roads all the way to Waitrose – all for Phil Mitchell and the Christmas lights switch-on. Everyone wants to park in Salisbury. What will it be like when all the car parks are gone?
A TECHNICAL problem has led to us not receiving any letters emailed to postbag@salisbury journal.co.uk for some weeks. Anyone who has emailed in a letter and not had it printed can re-send it to newsdesk@salisbury journal.co.uk.
