MAY I say an enormous thank you to the lovely young lady who stopped her car to turn around at Barford St Martin on Tuesday, December 2, in order to retrieve our ginger cat, who had been hit by a red van travelling through the village.

Not only did she knock on doors to enquire who the owner was, but she wrapped the cat in a towel and brought it into my house.

Furthermore, in the evening, after her day’s work, she again called at my house bearing a lovely pot of red roses and said how sorry she was that the cat had been killed and she had been thinking about it all day.

This young lady is a true Samaritan.

Such kindness and compassion restores one’s faith in the human race.

I wish you the most wonderful Christmas ever. You have a heart filled with love and deserve a lifetime of love.

Pamela Waite, Barford St Martin
