YOUR correspondent Keith Rodger (postbag November 27) includes in his letter a suggestion for increasing the revenue for park and ride.
My idea is similar, but, I think, simpler to administer.
It would be for those with bus passes to pay £1 each on presenting their passes on the way into the city centre.
There would be no extra charge on return.
The driver would have a small additional chore to collect the coins; he/she already handles cash.
Depending on how such a scheme was devised, those on specified benefits could be excused payment of £1.
I have discussed my idea with friends who are all in agreement.
