Fond farewell to you, Mike
I WALK through The Close on a daily basis and would often stop and chat to Mike, who was a familiar figure and who diligently kept The Close free of litter, often coming in on his day off.
He was an interesting character who had many a story to tell about Salisbury and its inhabitants. So I was sad when I heard that he died at Christmas. Goodbye Mike – you will be missed.
