ON behalf of the board and all those who are homeless and vulnerable in Salisbury, I would like to thank the Journal and its very kind readers, who so generously donated gifts for the Journal’s Christmas Gift appeal.
Morning Star was blessed to be among the many charities to receive presents for its clients just before Christmas, and as we are so touched by the generosity of so many people whom we don’t even know.
For the people we serve in Salisbury, it wasn’t just the gifts that bought a tear to many an eye, but the fact that in this crazy world, there are still people who care enough to give to others who are less fortunate, knowing full well that they will probably never meet the people they have given to. For homeless and vulnerable people, this kind of caring and selflessness is probably worth more than the actual present itself.
Thank you Bill, and all your staff for all the hard work you all put into organising this event, you will never really know how many lives you and the readers have made a difference to.

MAY I warmly thank the management and all the staff of Woodfalls Care Home for the superb care given to me during my unexpected and prolonged stay with them.
Their professionalism and kindness was truly heart-warming.

WHEN I went to pay my bill at Greengages Cafe, in Catherine Street recently, I was told that two ladies had paid for it.
I didn’t know them and would like to give them a big thank you.
What a delightful start to the year!
I wish them both a very happy new year.
