I NOTE with dismay yet another depressing and negative front page headline, ironically, underneath a beautiful picture of Salisbury Cathedral, in the Journal of January 29.

Inside a far more appropriate headline: “MP's stem cells to save a patient's life” has been relegated to page 5.

Local newspapers are the only print media to actually produce articles about the huge number of good events that happen in places like Salisbury and district.

By concentrating on sordid stories of unfortunate or tragic events, a skewed picture of our city emerges.

The Journal may look better in its tabloid format but does it have to have tabloid headlines as well?
