I QUITE agree with Pauline Albiges about the dangers of pavement parking (Postbag, January 29).

I live in Amesbury, and there are many examples of this!

I would encourage anyone inconvenienced by this to photograph the offending vehicle and email it to their community police team, or just note the registration number.

I have had a very positive response from our community police team, who, on one occasion were able to speak to the transport company of the offending lorry, because they had the time and details. In addition to pavement parking, are those frightening moments when a vehicle decides to mount the kerb in front of the pavement along which you are walking and stop! This is really scary.

Much worse, if you have sight loss and are being guided by a dog!
