WHILST one cannot dispute the fact that drink-driving is a serious offence, however, for Christine Blanshard to only find out the full extent of Mr Shergill's sentence from newspaper reports rather than her own research is puzzling.
I had a shoulder operation performed the morning after the newspaper disclosures.
Mr Shergill was utterly professional and skilful and the operation a success.
By instigating a two-month suspension does Christine Blanchard take into account the backlog of patients who will now have to remain in pain until Mr Shergill, an expert in his field, is allowed to do his job?
People in authority are very often blinkered, especially those in a hierarchical organisation such as the NHS and forget that patients come first.
