I TOTALLY agree with the letter from Francis Henton in last week’s Journal regarding Mr Shergill.

He is a wonderful surgeon who performed my operation in a very skilful way, being kind and considerate and giving me every confidence.

He is held in the highest regard by both patients and staff that I know of and we cannot afford to be without a person of Mr Shergill’s profession.

I am wondering if Christine Blanshard has never made a mistake or is she whiter than white. Sometimes we can do without people in authority but we cannot do without a brilliant surgeon like Mr Shergill and I sincerely hope that he will be able to put this behind him and continue his wonderful care and work for patients in his very professional way.
