I WRITE in response to the article about Wiltshire Councillor Jane Scott.

I find her remarks are insulting to the councillors in the south of the county.

To say they are lacking skills and experience is arrogant, and disrespectful to residents who voted for these councillors.

I feel the south of the county has been short changed as we do have some great Wiltshire councillors in Salisbury with the skills, ability and capacity – all of which Cllr Scott seems to lack.

I would call for her to resign to allow restructuring at the top as since the dissolution of Salisbury District Council there have been a catalogue of unwise decisions which have led to an arrogant cabinet that seem to lack the skills needed to effectively serve the community.

PERHAPS Councillor Scott should take a course in public relations.

If the remarks attributed to her in Alex Rennie's article are correct, her reign will surely be shortened if that is the way she views us southern residents.

I am reminded of Britain's rule over the North American colonies.

No taxation without representation, particularly apt on the day the latest council tax bills were published.
