IT is almost unbelievable the issue of development of the water meadows has arisen again.
If these fields were not suitable for a bypass, why are they acceptable as a housing estate?
This proposal would be more disruptive than a bypass. It would generate far more traffic on an overcrowded network. Elaborate drainage plans only pass the problem of flooding further downstream. It is ill-conceived and short sighted.
