AS good journalists, you sadly missed out in last week’s issue, when you failed to cover the excellent gathering of Catholics last Sunday, June 7.

The monotony of reporting young people in their T-shirts and adults about their civic duties would have been relieved by sparkling pictures of our Eastern friends in their saris shaded by their beautiful umbrellas.

The service too in the City Hall was quite an experience: the crowded auditorium was truly appreciative of the presence of the Bishop of Clifton and the Dean of Salisbury Cathedral. (Your paper started life in 1729, exactly a century ago before Catholic Emancipation, so it, of all journals, should be comfortable with the understanding that Catholics truly are integrated! )
