Surprised at NHS moans
HAVING lived in the area for nearly 30 years I am always surprised to hear moans about the service provided.
I called my surgery (Old Orchard - Wilton) yesterday to be offered an emergency appointment that day.
As my need was not an emergency I declined it and accepted one the following day.
On seeing the doctor she took my blood pressure, referred me to the eye clinic, arranged an appointment for the coming Thursday and arranged for a blood test on the Friday.
Having been able to access private medical facilities in the past I cannot remember receiving such swift and comforting treatment as received at our GP surgery. This is not the first time over the years that I have been impressed by our NHS.
