ST NICHOLAS Hospital’s response in last week’s Journal to the people of Salisbury’s protests about their plan to build on Harnham meadows is truly shocking.
They are displaying great arrogance and greed.
Like so many charitable organisations, they keep a huge amount of money in their bank account where it does no good to anyone except earn a small amount of interest.
And now they seek nothing more than to increase the wealth they fail to share.
Think how much more good they could do if they actually spent some of their money.
It is incomprehensible that they can ignore the mass of protest against what they are doing and come out with disingenuous excuses.
They display breathtaking arrogance and stupidity in believing that the people of Salisbury are so naive to be taken in by their words. I am ashamed to be a Christian if this is what a Christian charity stands for.
