I AM shocked and saddened by the response of St Nicholas Hospital to the opposition towards the proposed building on the Britford Lane meadows.
I don’t hold any sway with the “duty bound” argument given by Chris Dragonetti (chairman) in the Journal last week.
The trustees of the charity should have a bit of backbone and stand up for what they believe in. This is about real people’s houses flooding because they had the foolish idea of building houses next to a flood plain.
It’s about our children not being able to walk to school because of the huge increase in traffic on already dangerous roads near to two major primary schools in Salisbury.
I would find it difficult to sleep at night if I was them.
We have to keep fighting against these ludicrous plans and I would urge people to write or email St Nicholas Hospital and Longford Estate to register their concern about these plans.
We have to keep fighting!
