Do like Potter
Wouldn’t it be a nice idea if one of our local rich celebrities (or even a few of them) purchased the water meadows to stop it being built on, as Beatrice Potter did in the Lake District? Just a thought!
Or maybe someone could organise some kind of crowdfunding?
I used to live in Coombe Road, and every time I went past the meadows I thought how lucky I was to live in such a lovely city.
Please don’t let us lose them.
