LAST Sunday, my wife and I decided to take an early evening stroll in Elizabeth Gardens. We both needed to use the toilets next to the car park prior to our walk and were very distraught to find them in an unusable condition.

The cubicles were strewn with toilet paper and the seats were covered with urine and one of the cubicle bolts would not work.

It was apparent they had not been checked or serviced for some time. Needless to say we did not use the facilities and drove away feeling ashamed that visitors should endure this situation.

The council seem to ignore the basic requirements for ratepayers and visitors alike while spending huge amounts on unnecessary projects.
