YET again, Wiltshire Council makes South Wiltshire residents second-class citizens.

In a county-wide Community Governance Boundary Review, public consultation meetings have to be held to allow residents to have their say when their parish boundaries may be changed, resulting in them being moved into a different parish (and charged a massively higher parish council tax rate).

Trowbridge, Devizes and Corsham all get their ‘public consultations’ at an acceptable time for the public to attend with meetings beginning at 7pm. In Salisbury we get 4pm on a Thursday afternoon.

Employed residents and those with children are obviously excluded from having their say.

Hardly a democratic consultation.
