THE Journal has always allowed thanks for good service from our hospital.

I would like first to give thanks to the ambulance staff together with the flying doctor who got me into the hospital (it is too long a story to explain here.) Thank you also to the X-ray dept, surgery team and all those nurses from many countries that took great care of my needs in Amesbury ward plus the team in physiotherapy still ongoing, painful but necessary.

A special thanks also goes to the catering division that produce a twotier-plus menu every day.

Did you know that our Salisbury hospital produces almost half-amillion meals a year to patients?

Mass catering is a very difficult job and timing is of the ultimate priority to make it work. The food was excellent, how they produce such excellent soup is beyond me.

Real natural tomato soup, not the glowing orange can stuff most of us put up with. White onion soup and farmhouse vegetable. Yes, I love food and all round good service.

At Salisbury Hospital you get it.

Thanks to all.
