I SHOULD like to sincerely apologise to the lovely gentleman that I almost accidentally knocked down yesterday morning (Thursday, January 7) at about 10.45am in the car park of The Salisbury District Hospital.
I was struggling to find a parking space and having already gone round two car parks I was looking out for a space while travelling at a crawl. I was also thinking of the child whom I was trying to visit. Usually I am a cautious and very careful driver and would not wish to cause harm to anyone, and never have!
The gentleman just appeared from nowhere and if he had not stepped back I am sure I would have hurt him. After understandably being cross with me and shocked himself he then almost offered me comfort as I was so shocked and literally shaking from what had happened.
It all happened so quickly and out of the blue that although I did say a sincere “sorry” to him I did not even check to see if he was alright!
I would like to sincerely apologise to this true gentleman and assure him that I am not generally so unobservant and careless; since the incident I have been continually thinking of him and what could have happened. I hope that he is alright and can accept my apology.
