MAY I take this opportunity on behalf of Salisbury Women’s Refuge to thank all the very thoughtful Journal readers who were kind enough to donate to the Christmas present appeal.
It is overwhelming to see such kindness and thoughtfulness and at a time of the year that can be difficult for ladies and their children, these gifts have brought such happiness.
We are extremely lucky to have so much support from individuals and agencies including The Mother’s Union, The Salvation Army, The Trussell Trust, Morning Star, St Thomas’, St Paul’s, St Martin’s and Harnham churches, The Lions Club, The Daisy Jane Trust and Free Cakes for Kids to name but a few.
Without this support we would not be able to continue our work with ladies who have experienced domestic violence.
Happy new year to all our supporters and once again a big thank you to you all for your continued support throughout the year.
ANGIE STEWART Deputy manager, Salisbury Women’s Refuge
