FIFTY members of Salisbury Concert Band will be travelling to Ludlow in Shropshire on April 21 to play a concert in The Assembly Rooms concert hall.
The band played there three years ago and the Assembly Rooms were keen to have another visit.
Robert Key, Salisbury’s MP for many years and the band’s president, will be coming with the band to act as compère in the concert.
The next day, on the Sunday morning, the band will be joining up with Ludlow Concert Band to play a short concert of popular music in the market square, weather permitting!
Salisbury band’s musical director, Chris Holmes, says the band is performing a wide and varied programme, with music from concert hall, stage and cinema.
