SADLY I cannot agree with Thom Bridle who says that the sculpture erected on the city railway bridge, is a bit of fun.

I was horrified when I saw it on my walk to town as, to me, it epitomises much of what is wrong in the world, as young children are forced to take part in wars that they do not understand, when their childhood is brutally snatched from them and their minds are possibly damaged for ever.

I do agree that we could do with more public art but surely something more joyous could be found to lift spirits in Salisbury.
