I RECENTLY visited my parents who live in Salisbury, and I was extremely disturbed by the number of rats I saw when walking around the city as well as evidence of their presence in the form of chewed wheelie bins and droppings.
My parents have invested a significant amount of money to try and reduce the rat infestation in their street but the problem appears to be city-wide. What,if anything,is the City Council doing about this?
I do not understand why the rubbish collections have been reduced to fortnightly, surely this exacerbates the situation?
Salisbury relies on tourists for much of its employment so I would have thought the eliminating the rat problem would be a top priority.
