Hospital trust governors are there to help

WHILE welcoming and endorsing Mr Matthews’ comments about the dedication of Salisbury District Hospital staff(Postbag, January 26), perhaps readers could be reminded that both patients and public are also represented by their locally-elected Hospital Trust governors, whose job it is to monitor the running of the hospital.

Any concerns or complaints from patients or the public are taken very seriously indeed, and the hospital is committed to reporting what remedial actions have been taken.

Fortunately, as Mr Matthews rightly surmises, compliments far outnumber complaints.
