CHRIS Wain (Postbag, May 31) appears somewhat confused.
He starts by complaining he was never asked to elect members of the area board and ends by looking forward to the day when Wiltshire Councillors in Salisbury, who make up the area board, will stand for reelection.
Elected or not elected - which is it, Mr Wain?
He then goes on to criticise Richard Clewer for admitting past mistakes and to pour scorn on his request for the media to talk the city up, not down.
Most of the councillors I know choose to be councillors because they care about their local community. Perhaps Mr Wain would like to replace the whine of the armchair critic with the purposeful hum of constructive activity and stand for election himself.
