Support dogs for disabled people
10:05am Thursday 27th September 2012 in Salisbury Letters
ON OCTOBER 2, from 8.30am to 4pm, Dogs for the Disabled, which trains specially selected dogs to help disabled adults and children, and children with autism will have a market stall by the Guildhall in Salisbury to help raise funds to support this work.
I know the benefits of having such a highly trained dog as I am fortunate to have a dog trained by Dogs for the Disabled – he has given me back my life, my independence and confidence so I am now able to get out and about by myself and live an active and hopefully useful life.
We want to raise more funds so that everyone who wants a Dog for the Disabled can have one and live an independent and fulfilling life.
We will be selling a variety of goods: Second hand clothes in good condition, books, videos, cards, toys, china, bric-abrac and many other things, and all money raised will go towards training more dogs for more disabled people.
Please support such work.
