The Barn in Ringwood will host sporting legends, including Sir Geoff Hurst, Harry Redknapp, and Ricky Hatton, over the next twelve months.
Sir Geoff Hurst, a legendary ex-England and West Ham United footballer, will lead the roster of events on November 16, 2024.
Renowned for his World Cup-winning hat-trick in 1966 and widely celebrated West Ham United career, during which he scored 248 goals in 499 games.
After leaving West Ham, Sir Geoff had successful tenures at Stoke City, West Bromwich Albion, and even had stints in America and Kuwait. He also served as the manager for Chelsea and assistant coach for the England national team.
Following Sir Geoff's event, on February 27, 2025, Ricky 'The Hitman' Hatton, ranked as the fifth greatest British boxer, will make an appearance.
Hatton recorded an impressive career from 1997 to 2012, winning multiple world-titles and logging 45 wins, 32 which were knockouts.
His defeat of Kostya Tszyu in 2005 to win the IBF title and victory over Carlos Maussa to clinch the WBA title in 2006 culminated in him being a unified light-welterweight world champion.
An insight into Hatton's extraordinary boxing career will be provided during this rare occurrence.
On March 14, 2025, Harry Redknapp - a beloved football manager and local 'king of the jungle'- will regale the audience with stories from his football days and jungle adventures.
This entertaining talk show, known for its immense hilarity, is guaranteed to please football enthusiasts. An audience Q&A will wrap up the evening.
The Barn, which has been operational since 2022, is quickly establishing prominence for its music, comedy, and spoken word events within the New Forest.
