John (Johnny) Orchard

I was sad to hear that Johnny had passed away, several years ago he posted me some old photos and wrote a long letter, was so lovely to hear from him, my most vivid memories were of him hanging over the half door of the Salisbury Infirmary boiler house, looking out onto Elizabeth Gardens, I often walked with my first child Paul in the pram from Harnham to town and would stop and chat with him, always so proud to be his cousin, a fine looking man. I would also walk to Downton Road house to see Inga and you three girls when you were little. He loved you girls so much, a very proud Dad. I am now 74 and have been living in New Zealand since 1974. I have missed special people from UK and Johnny was one of them, always in my thoughts and heart , the memories keep him alive . Much love to you all ****
