THOMPSON Brigadier Harry (Retired) Died peacefully at home on Monday 12th July, aged 97. Much loved widower of Eleanor, greatly loved father to Patricia, Michael and Peter, and adored grandfather and great-grandfather. Harry and Eleanor settled in Wilton in 1983 following Harry's retirement from the army. They were co-founders of the Wilton Day Centre, now known as the Thursday Club. Harry was an energetic Wilton Town councillor for a number of years. He was also Chairman of the Wilton Branch of the Royal British Legion. Harry was a well- known character in Wilton. A Requiem Mass will be held at St Osmond's Church in Salisbury on Monday the 26th July at 2pm.
