Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily
to all traffic: A) Goatacre Lane (Part), Hilmarton; from its junction with A3102 to its
junction with Combe Lane; B) Goatacre Lane (Part), Hilmarton; from its junction
with Lower Goatacre for a distance of approximately 80 metres in a southerly direction;
C) Lower Goatacre, Hilmarton; from its junction with Goatacre Lane for a distance
of approximately 140 metres in an easterly direction to enable Avonline to carry out
excavation works to lay cable. Alternative route (a): via Combe Lane - A3102 and vice
versa. Alternative Route (b) and (c): No alternative route is available; access will be
maintained for residents and businesses. The closure and diversion route will be
clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order which previously came into operation
on 22 November 2019 will now recommence on 13 August 2020 and the closure will be
required until 18 August 2020. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration
to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents
and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
The Order has a maximum duration of 18 months. For further information please contact

Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily
to all users: Footpath 104 (Part), Corsham; from its junction with Footpath 99,
Corsham for a distance of approximately 20 metres in a northerly direction to enable
existing full height kerbs to be replaced with dropped kerbs and footpath regraded to
suit new levels. Alternative routes: Bethel Road - Danvers Road - Glebes Way - Hatton
Way - Home Mead and vice versa. The closure and diversion route will be clearly
indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 10 August 2020
and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 15 August 2020. Access will
be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due
to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of six months. For

to all traffic: New Road (Part), Royal Wootton Bassett; from its junction with A3102
to its junction with Richards Close to enable Wessex Water to construct new bifurcation
chamber and storm storage shaft. Alternative route: via New Road (unaffected length) –
Station Road – A3102 High Street and vice versa. The closure and diversion route
will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order which previously came into
operation on 01 June 2020 will now recommence on 10 August 2020 and the closure will
be required until 20 November 2020. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated
duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for
residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to close
temporarily to all users: Footpath 4 (Part), Chippenham; from its junction with
Brooklands for a distance of approximately 150m in a westerly direction. Footpath 6
(Part), Chippenham; from its junction with Footpath 4 for a distance of approximately
200m in a southerly direction to enable development works pursuant to planning
application 17/08786/REM. Alternative route: An alternative route will be provided
around the site. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by
traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 01 September 2020 and is
anticipated to be required for six months. The Order will have a maximum duration of

The County of Wiltshire (Chippenham and Chippenham Without)
(Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting, Prohibition of Stopping,
Clearways and On Street Parking) Consolidation Order 2019
Experimental Order (No.1) 2020
Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council made the above-mentioned Experimental
Order on 28 July 2020 under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) and the
Traffic Management Act 2004. The Order has a maximum duration of 18 months and
during that time consideration will be given to introducing a permanent Order. The effect
of the Experimental Order will be as follows: 1. The County of Wiltshire (Chippenham and
Chippenham Without) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting, Prohibition of Stopping,
Clearways and On Street Parking) Consolidation Order 2019 will be amended by the
suspension of Map Schedule Nos. CQ36, CR36 and CR37 dated 21/10/2019 and the
insertion of new Map Schedule Nos. CQ36, CR36 and CR37 dated 17/08/2020 for the
duration of the Experimental Order; 2. The effect of the Order will be to introduce No
Waiting at any time on A420 Bristol Road – north side – from a point 50 metres
east of its junction with Hardenhuish Lane for a distance of 494 metres in an easterly
direction; 3. As part of this project a Mandatory Cycle Lane operating at all times will
be introduced on A420 Bristol Road – north side – from a point 50 metres east of its
junction with Hardenhuish Lane for a distance of 494 metres in an easterly direction.

Transport Group stating the grounds on which they are made (quoting reference

or modified pursuant to section 10(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, within a
period of six months beginning on the day on which the variation or modification or the
latest variation or modification came into force. Any person aggrieved by the Experimental
Order and desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in
the Order on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant section of the
Act or on the grounds that any requirement of that Section or of Part III of schedule 9 of
the Act or any regulation made under the said Schedule has not been complied with in
relation to the Order, may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made,
make application for the purpose to the High Court. The Order will come into operation
on 17 August 2020.

Clearways and On Street Parking) Consolidation Order 2019
(Amendment No.3) Order 2020
Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council proposes to make the above Order under
the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 to amend
the following restrictions in the Chippenham and Chippenham Without Consolidation
Order 2019 by revoking Map Schedule No CS39 dated 21/10/2019 and replacing it by
the insertion of revised Map Schedule No CS39 the effect of which will be as follows: 1.
To remove the Zebra crossing on Cocklebury Road at a point approximately 15 metres
north east of its junction with Sadlers Mead and to introduce No waiting at any time
on both sides of Cocklebury Road from a point 8 metres north east of its junction with
Sadlers Mead for a length of 20 metres in a north easterly direction; 2.To remove the
current Parking Mon-Sat 8am – 6pm 2 hours No return within 2 hours and introduce No
waiting at any time on the south side of Cocklebury Road from a point 21 metres
south west of its junction with Sadlers Mead for a distance of 19 metres in a south westerly
direction (retaining a length of 13 metres of Parking).
Pedestrian Crossing
Cocklebury Road, Chippenham
Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council in exercise of its powers under Section 23 of
the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 proposes the installation of a “TOUCAN” Crossing
(an un-segregated crossing for pedestrians and cyclists) in Cocklebury Road at a point
approximately 26 metres south west of its junction with Sadlers Mead.

temporarily to all traffic: A) Bowds Lane (Part), Lyneham and Bradenstoke;
from its property known as Little Bowds for a distance of approximately 160 metres
in a northerly direction to enable Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd to carry out a safety
examination of the bridge structure. Alternative route: via Bowds Lane (unaffected length)
