The County of Wiltshire (Trowbridge) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting, Prohibition of Stopping, Taxi Rank
Clearways and On Street Parking) Consolidation Order 2019 Experimental Order (No.1) 2020
Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council made the above-mentioned
Experimental Order on 28th July 2020 under the Road Traffic Regulation Act
1984 (“the Act”) and the Traffic Management Act 2004. The Order has a
maximum duration of 18 months and during that time consideration will be
given to introducing a permanent Order. The effect of the Experimental Order
will be as follows: 1. The County of Wiltshire (Trowbridge) (Prohibition and
Restriction of Waiting, Prohibition of Stopping, Taxi Rank Clearways and On
Street Parking) Consolidation Order 2019 will be amended by the suspension
of Map Schedule No. ES27 dated 25/11/2019 and the insertion of new Map
Schedule No. ES27 dated 17/08/2020 for the duration of the Experimental
Order; 2. The effect of the Order will be to introduce No Waiting at any
time on Hilperton Road – north side – from a point 76 metres north
east of its junction with Hilperton Road roundabout for a distance of
56 metres in an easterly direction; Hilperton Road – north side – from a
point 170 metres north east of its junction with Hilperton Road roundabout
for a distance of 50 metres in an easterly direction The above restrictions
will replace any existing restrictions currently in force in Trowbridge on the
lengths of road concerned for the duration of this Experimental Order. 3.
As part of this project a Mandatory Cycle Lane operating at all times will
be introduced on Hilperton Road – both sides – from a point 68 metres
north east of its junction with Hilperton Road roundabout for a distance of
127 metres in an easterly direction. Documents will not be deposited for
viewing at Council Offices which are currently closed to the public due to

Wiltshire Council will be considering in due course whether the provisions of
the Experimental Order should be continued in force indefinitely. Objections
to the making of an Order for the purposes of such indefinite continuation
should be made by post to reach the Traffic Order Team, Sustainable
Transport, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge, BA14 8JN allowing
7 days, by email to

to
reach the Sustainable Transport Group stating the grounds on which they
are made (quoting reference LJB/TRO/TROWexp1): a) within a period of
six months beginning with the day on which the Experimental Order came
into force; or b) if that Order is varied by another Order or modified pursuant
to section 10(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, within a period of
six months beginning on the day on which the variation or modification or
the latest variation or modification came into force.
Any person aggrieved by the Experimental Order and desiring to question
the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in the Order on the
grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant section of the Act
or on the grounds that any requirement of that Section or of Part III of
schedule 9 of the Act or any regulation made under the said Schedule has
not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within six weeks of
the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose
to the High Court. The Order will come into operation on 17 August 2020.
THE WILTSHIRE COUNCIL GREAT HINTON 6 AND 16 DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND
STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2020
Notice is hereby given that the footpath created in the above order has
been certified as acceptable by Wiltshire Council and became a footpath
maintainable at public expense from 29th July 2020.
